Gail K. Ellison, PhD was for many years Writer-in-Residence with Shands Arts in Medicine, a seminal arts-in-healthcare program. As adjunct faculty in the University of Florida College of Fine Arts and the UF College of Medicine, she taught the Reflective Writing Elective for medical students and served as faculty in the UF Center for the Arts in Healthcare Summer Intensive.
Gail won Honorable Mention in the Blair Sadler International Healing Arts Competition for her creative work with patients, staff, and students in healthcare professions.
